Daicel-Evonik a series of polyamide 12 powders (PA 12) sold under the trade name DAIAMID, VESTOSINT®. The powders are manufactured by a special physical process and feature a nearly round particle geometry, which cannot be reproduced by conventional pulverization technologies.
 The superior properties of PA 12, which are also featured by PA 12 powders, are:
- high toughness
- very good resistance to greases, oils, fuels, hydraulic fluids,water, alkalis, saline solutions and many organic solvents
- very good stress cracking resistance, even when exposed to chemicals
- low coefficient of sliding friction and high abrasion resistance even when running dry
- noise and vibration damping
The DAIAMID, VESTOSINT® powders are used in a variety of processes for coating metal, as fine powders for improving the properties of lacquers and cosmetics, and for producing thermoplastic composites.
